Enugu State University of Science and Technology Promotes 40 Staff to Professors, Readers
The Enugu State University of Science and Technology, ESUT, on Tuesday announced the promotion of 40 staff of the University to the ranks of Professors and Readers.
While handing the promotion letters to the beneficiaries, consisting 18 Professors and 22 Readers, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Aloysius-Michaels Okolie, enjoined them to be epitome of excellence in the discharge of their duties.
He further enjoined them to create values and shun vices in order to make ESUT globally competitive in research, innovations, teaching, and community service.
“On behalf of the Management, I congratulate all of you specifically because the journey has not been too easy. I congratulate you once again for this very honour,” the Vice Chancellor said.
While expressing their gratitude to the University Management, Chukwudi Amunnadi, who was promoted to the rank of professor in the General Studies Unit, ESUT, said the promotion had inspired him to work harder.
“I feel so excited and I am grateful to God, and ESUT Management, and to all the people who have made contributions to my attainment of this feat.
“I am inspired to help position ESUT as a global university because it has been my desire to see this University become a global centre where people of different continents would come and study,” he said.
