The Department of Industrial Mathematics and Statistics (IMS) ESUT, has been granted 5 year full accreditation by the apex regulatory body - the National Universities Commission (NUC). At the last accreditation visit in June, the department score an average of 79% in all the indices considered during the peer review exercise.
Enugu State House of Assembly Committee on Education Tuesday July 12, 2016 applauded the Vice- chancellor of ESUT and his team of management for excellent display of maturity and in handling the many academic and management issues of the institution. This was the commendation of the tenman strong Committee that was in full force in its oversight function visit to ESUT.
The on-going effort of Project Harmony to build structures and capacity fr early win-win resolution of conflicts to end escalations, shutdowns and disruption of academic calendars in tertiary institutions got a boost with the inauguration of six Vice Chancellors, Provosts and Rectors as Distinguished Project Harmony Ambassadors. The inauguration was the climax of stream 3 of Project Harmony Conflict Resolution Training held at Enugu.

The programme leads to the award of JUPEB certificate which enables candidates gain Direct Entry Admissions into Enugu State university of Science and Technology, Enugu and other JUPEB-affiliated universities in Nigeria and Abroad.
A new arrangement has been put in place designed to significantly reduce the stress usually associated with payment of school fees as the banks by students, including the risk of carrying cash from place to place.This new arrangement enables students to pay their fees at any bank of their choice, irrespective of their faculties or programmes. Payment can also be made using ATM cards.
